Origin of the project

In 2006, Jacques Olivier throws himself into an ambitious project: flying with adult bold eagles, using a paraglider, in order to sensitize the public to the cause of those fragile creatures. Above all, he wanted to give a chance to birds which spent most of their lives in aviaries, and enable them to fly in total liberty amongst the wild species.

What was seen as the craziest bet, revealed itself to be an extraordinary flying teaching method for birds. So much so that they acquired a total flying independence after a few months only, opening the way to a new method of reintroducing eagles into the nature. Today, Jacques Olivier’s work follows 2 axes:

  • Sensitize the public through major sportive events performed with his eagles, supported by worldwide media.
  • Validate this new method with scientists, and apply it in France for bold eagles.
