Jacques-Olivier TRAVERS
The man who flies with the eagles
A fascinating career path
At 38 years old, this journalist has always had a passion for birds of prey. After a short period of work at the local press, he decides to create his own animal park dedicated to birds of prey at the age of 24: Les aigles du Léman, situated in Haute Savoie. Now a professional falconer for 14 years, he has been the youngest person to hold a capacity certificate and be entitled to present birds of prey to the public in France at the age of 22. Today, about 120 birds of prey can be seen at his park.
